Oakhill Residence

This residential property was experiencing water drainage issues caused by a three-car parking pad in the backyard. To avoid waste, we readapted the concrete pad, breaking it up and reusing the pieces to create a patio, firepit, retaining walls, stairs, and paths. We then redirected water runoff with a dry creek bed. The owners were inspired by the High Line in New York City, so we incorporated native grasses, trees, and perennials to imitate a meadow, while reducing the lawn to create space for a shed, firepit and seating area, and skateboard ramp.
